Fixing a burst or leaking pipe has never been easier thanks to the SylWrap range of leak repair products. They enable any user to carry out a repair without the need for formal training – even where pressure cannot be turned off. Pressure resistance up to 30 bar and temperature resistance to 280°C are possible depending on the products used.
Repairs are effective on steel, copper, malleable iron, GRP, ceramic, clay, concrete, rubber and lead pipes up to 600mm diameter, from small domestic plumbing to major pipework infrastructure.
Most SylWrap products are effective in 30 minutes and have WRAS approval, certifying them as safe to use with drinking water.

Superfast Epoxy Putty Sticks seal smaller holes and cracks in pipework where pressure can be turned off. Different putties are formulated for use with specific materials. For domestic pipes made of copper and other non-ferrous metals, use Copper Stick.
For larger domestic pipes and industrial pipes made of steel and ferrous metals, use Steel Stick. For high temperature repairs up to 280°C, use Titanium Stick. For plastic pipe repair including PVC and GBS, use Plastic Stick. For underwater or wet surface repairs, use Aqua Potable Water Stick. Longitudinal cracks in cast iron pipework can be sealed with CrackSeal Pipe Sealant. CrackSeal also repairs splits in metal and concrete-line pipes.
For leak repair on pipes where flow cannot be isolated, Wrap & Seal Pipe Burst Tape fixes leaking pipes with pressure up to 30bar without the need to turn systems off. When making a live leak repair to pipework in excess of 150mm diameter, SylPad Pressure Resistance Multiplier used alongside Wrap & Seal increases the pressure resistance of a tape by up to three times.
Products can be purchased separately or as part of a SylWrap Pipe Repair Kit, which includes SylWrap HD Pipe Repair Bandage. Overwrapping the original sealing material with this composite wrap provides the repair with a rock-hard, impact-resistant layer, creating a permanent solution.
The Standard Pipe Repair Kit is used on leaks where pressure can be turned off. The Universal Kit is suitable for repairing live leaks where pressure cannot be turned off. The Cast Iron Kit contains CrackSeal for the repair of leaking cast iron.
