Epoxy Paste

Products in the Sylmasta Epoxy Paste range are applied via hand tool to repair surfaces, rebuild and strengthen damaged parts and protect against corrosion, chemical attack, abrasion and impact damage.

They are used for filling holes, gouges and large areas of damage caused by pitting, restoring surface profiles of pipes and other structures. Where a structure has been weakened by corrosion or chemical attack, an epoxy repair paste applied around the outside will cure to form a high-strength casing, helping to rebuild the degraded part.

Industrial Metal is a metal-filled epoxy paste used to protect and strengthen metal, repair cracks and rebuild parts. It is reinforced with corrosion-resistant platelets which provide excellent protection against corrosion and chemical attack. It cures on wet surfaces.

The work time of Industrial Metal is 60 minutes, making it suitable for use in hotter climates where there is a threat of premature curing. Industrial Metal Rapid is a faster-working version with a five minute cure time. It is not suitable for wet or underwater applications.

Titanium HT Supergrade is alloy-filled and designed for high temperature applications beyond the 130°C maximum service temperature of Industrial Metal. It has high compressive strength and repairs systems subjected to extreme heat.

Ceramic Supergrade is filled with silicone carbide for high abrasion resistance. It sets to an ultra-smooth finish, increasing wear resistance and extending the lifespan of machinery and parts in abrasive environments.

WearShield is filled with alumina beads for ultimate hardness. It is applied to equipment and surfaces to create a highly toughened layer which protects against impact and wear. WearShield Rapid is a faster setting version which minimises equipment downtime and disruption.
