For underwater epoxy putty repairs, Sylmasta supply two epoxy putties with different work times which bond to wet surfaces and are effective in freshwater and saltwater environments. Unlike most other suppliers, Sylmasta make all their own epoxy putty at their site in the United Kingdom using the latest manufacturing technology. This guarantees fresh product, a reliable supply chain and reduced lead times.
Superfast Aqua Potable Water has a five-minute work time and comes in a pre-formatted, 114g stick. The user simply cuts off the amount of putty required, kneads it by hand and applies. It has WRAS Approval for use on pipes and fittings carrying drinking water.
Sylmasta AB Original Epoxy Putty comes with a longer two-hour work time. This is useful for complex applications or in warm environments, where there is a concern the putty may cure before it is properly applied.
AB Original comes in white, black or grey colours as standard. It is available in two formats. The stick combines resin and hardener, removing the need to measure out components as with Superfast Aqua PW.
Where AB Original is supplied with Part A and Part B in separate tubs, it allows greater control over the mixing process and putty properties by enabling mix ratios to be altered.

Additional information about Underwater Epoxy Repair Putty
Sylmasta underwater epoxy putties are resistant to chemicals and temperature extremes. Once cured, they can be tapped, drilled, screwed, sawed, machined, ground, filed or painted.
They do not rust, shrink or pull away. Unused portions of epoxy putty stay fresh for future use when saved in their original packaging. They contain no solvents or VOCs, are non-flammable and release no noxious fumes.
Superfast Aqua PW comes with WRAS approval, meaning it is certified as safe to use with potable water. AB Original does not have WRAS approval but offers greater protection against corrosion and chemicals.
AB Original and Superfast Aqua PW are both made at our production plant in the United Kingdom, using the latest epoxy putty manufacturing technology.
